Description:

When twenty-one-year-old Leah Carter's latest one night stand burglarizes her apartment, her roommate forces her to attend therapy for sex addicts. Leah insists she isn't a sex addict; she just doesn't do relationships. After all, sooner or later, everyone lets you down.

At first, the group sessions are little more than an education on how to be promiscuous. Until she meets the newest addict—blue eyes, killer body, and a smile that tempts relapse.

Psychology student Will McLean is posing as a fellow addict while researching a case study on unusual addictions. But the more he learns about Leah, the more certain he is that his desire to break through her walls and unearth her secrets has nothing to do with his assignment.

As the uncertainties spike alongside the sexual tension, the only thing Leah knows for sure is that falling in love would be disastrous. Too bad love might be one addiction she can't kick.

Addicted to You is a New Adult contemporary romance novel that focuses on our two main characters: Leah Carter, a college student who has lots of meaningless sex - the last of which burglarized her apartment; and Will McLean, a sexy Scottish guy studying psychology at the local university. When Leah's roommate demands that she attends sex addict therapy, Leah reluctantly agrees, even though she doesn't believe she has a problem. She's just about done with her required amount of sessions when the mysterious and sexy Will walks into the session. There is an immediate attraction between the two - one that goes deeper than just lust. Leah thinks that Will might be the one guy capable of breaking through her walls and Will is pretty sure he's falling fast for Leah. Will Leah be able to trust Will enough to let him get to know the real her?

This was a steamy yet romantic New Adult contemporary novel that showcases the reality of love and the obstacles people must be willing to endure to get it. Leah and Will are great main characters for the book. Leah is somewhat typical - she's closed off from almost everyone, had a lonely childhood with parents who don't really care about her or her brother, and doesn't trust anyone. She's definitely flawed, but in a realistic way that made it easy to identify with her and understand where she's coming from. Will is the stereotypical hottie - he's mysterious, gorgeous, smart, and is Scottish (love that sexy accent), but there's more to him than meets the eye as well. He had issues growing up as well and is hesitant to open his heart and life to anyone - especially romantically. I enjoyed watching Leah and Will's relationship change and grow throughout the book. The plot was interesting and had a quick pace that kept me engaged in the story - not to mention the incredibly steamy scenes between Leah and Will. Those definitely kept me wanting more - and I wasn't disappointed. The writing was well done and flowed naturally throughout the novel, with dialogue that didn't feel forced or fake, which is a big plus for me. The story is told from a third person point of view, so we alternate chapters between Leah and Will. I liked this approach because we get to see how each character was reacting to the situations in the book, but we don't get an inside peek into their thoughts or feelings. It was interesting to see how each of them processed their interactions and how they dealt with their growing feelings for one another. Overall, this was a fantastic New Adult contemporary romance that I would definitely recommend for fans of the genre.
I’m a new adult author with a love for the fantastical and the romantic. My new adult contemporary novel ADDICTED TO YOU will be available June 25.
